What I Want 02:18
I don't want a lot, but I want to be good. Keep my car clean and live in the woods. Wanna BBQ and go camping with friends, save for retirement and tear down my fence, Wanna pay my bills and get a better job. I don't wanna be a slob. I wanna end the war, and take care of my feet, look good without a shirt and eat less red meat. Drink coffee in the morning and water my plants, raise some kids and take my wife out to dance. I wanna make love to her out on the beach, I wanna practice what I preach.

Well I suppose we could talk all day, 'bout being young and going out to play. oh, putting baseball cards in your bicycle spokes, sitting on the curb and drinking frozen cokes. Thinking GI Joe's or Matchbox cars, Setting corn husk fires and bugs in jars. getting dirty hands and skinning your knees, getting poison ivy and climbing trees. but in 1995 my good friend died. I couldn't understand why she took her life. I sat in my room and listened to tapes. I lost my baby fat, but I gained a heavy weight. alright. Well I suppose we could talk all day about how I fell and how I lost my way. Oh, but everybody knows, thats the way it goes. You plant another seed and you watch it grow. Oh, 1998 was a magical year. I dropped out of college and I started drinking beer. I lost more weight, and I lost my girl. But finally found where I belong in this world. Oh, I don't rely on memories of being young. I don't always go chasing the summer sun. I still smoke and I still drink, but now I'm seeing things more clearly. Well, I think!!

Time Shark 02:16
Oh lordy look out. a wall of gray coming up at me. TIME SHARK!! Descending from the sky. TIME SHARK! He wanna take my life. Oh Momma, I gotta drink my milk. Oh Papa, I wanna light the fire. Saddle up the pony, why don't put down your cell telephony? TIME SHARK! Coming up to get you. TIME SHARK! You better be ready. Oh Momma, I gotta drink my milk. Oh Papa, I wanna light the fire. TIME SHARK! Don't waste my time. TIME SHARK! Its running a little low.

Carry On 03:25
Airplane jest, push away that stormy weather. i thank you for taking me home to iIdiana. sweet Indiana, where the lips I love are from. I've missed you today. Oh take me home. Gotta drive my truck all day. Its hard to know whats right from wrong. work up your faith. work it in a frenzy. Shake it up every night. Till the morning light. Oh Brother, I want you to live. Carry on... Oh Sister, I want you to live. Carry on... I want you to live, Carry on...
5.
There's something growing in the back yard. Its made up of all the bits and pieces of things I've done wrong. I built it up I wanna tear it down. Yeah. I built it up I wanna tear it down. Yeah. Can't cover it with dirt and call it a mountain. I can't see around it, its calling my bluff. I built it up I wanna tear it down, White Pyramid. I built it up I wanna tear it down, White Pyramid.

Fisherman 03:43
Well it was not that long ago, I caught a fish in the reservoir I beat its head on a log until it was dead. I could have bought one in the store. But this made me feel... Made me feel like I was real... Made me feel like a man... How a man can feel real...? But I never ate that fish, cause cutting made me sick. So I threw it away and said I ate it. Oh, what makes a man? Sometimes I don't understand. What makes a man? Well I don't understand. But it made me feel real. Like the way I thought I should feel. How a man can feel real... How a man can feel real DUMB.

Wore my body down, till I couldn't get off the ground. Oh No I couldn't get off the ground. I got so beat, I could have slept in a crack on the street. Oh Yeah, I could have slept in a crack on the street. If they're pushing too hard, you gotta push them back. Or they'll take all your time and won't give it back. Believe you me, they don't give a crap. They work you until they break your back. Hey, Mister Boss Man, I ain't making you another dollar, NO! I ain't making you another dollar, NO! Frankly I'd rather be, laughing and happy and broke. Oh yeah, laughing and happy and broke. If they're pushing too hard, you gotta push them back. Or they'll take all your time and won't give it back. Believe you me, they don't give a crap. They work you until they break your back. ...Yeah, I got love. And we don't need your money. We don't need your money...

Heavy Gears 04:18
I was riding the lights home late one night. Every street was long and calm. Tomorrow, before you wake up, I'll be gone again. To Indiana interstates and cleaner oxygen. Dad says, "Its just a job," but I gotta clear my head. Cause I will be pushing heavy gears until I'm dead. I will be pushing heavy gears until I'm dead. My clothes are closing in. Want the sun cracking at my skin. Summer's here. I gotta get out, smell the lake in your hair. But I'm too tired to sleep tonight. I'm too tired to sleep tonight. Dad says "this is just a job," I gotta look for greener grass. But I got my heart set on rocket ships or lotto tickets. Its just the way I work inside. My clothes are closing in, I've fallen into sin. But it's alright by me.
9.
the sun is here, i can't breath. sucking down smoke like rain in the sea. crawl through the shells, shedding like a dog, floating on the waves like a dead, dead log. i could get carried away, to the middle of the lake, i could fall for my love all over again. but the sun don't shine in the basement, NO! shut down the amp and wrap up the cords. get out the house and let my friends know i'm alive.
