Jules Verne 02:57
Hey Jules Verne, oh what have I learned? You can't dig a hole through your head. I hear pretty soon, they'll be building on the moon, but they probably won't be done till I'm dead. Hey Jules whats heaven like? Is it full of pretty cars and lights? Hey Jules whats space like? Is it full of stars? Hey Jules Verne, oh what have I learned? You can't go outside in the rain. Can't go to the store to get eggs, 'cause all of my clothes are like rags. Hey Jules whats heaven like? Is it full of pretty cars and lights? Hey Jules whats space like? Is it full of stars?

Brother 02:48
Its another song about my brother, he belongs to those Northern Lights. We haven't talked in years, but I think about him at night. Its not that we don't get along. Its just been too long. We haven't talked in years. and I don't know where we belong. Perhaps if the world ends, and all the humans scatter. I'll drive through the ruins, drive up to Alaska. And there I'll find my brother, and i'm gonna bring him home. through the frozen woods, next to trashcan fires.

farm house sitting in the trees, see the clothes blowing and drying in the breeze. sun shine warming my knees, the light is bouncing off as its reflecting off my keys gonna work till we die, saving up our pennies time keeps flying by, saving up our pennies. cold pond licking at my hand, laughing at the ticking of the second hand. white clouds floating high above, gonna bury my watch in sand. gonna work till we die, saving up our pennies time keeps flying by, saving up our pennies.

Submarine 02:00
wouldn't it be nice if we had a submarine? I would go below at night when the world is all glowing. and don't you know I want you there? I wouldn't want it if your not there. wouldn't it be cool, if we had a cabin in the woods. we could spend our summer hiking and swimming away from the world. and don't you know I want you there? I wouldn't want it if your not there. wouldn't if be great if we were scientist? curing people and inventing future energies?

i'm so tired the golden age is over. won't someone draw me a bath so I can lay and relax? i fought in the war, they put holes in my friends, now I'm waiting in line for government cheese. I stood for something good where the buffalo roamed now they serve me mashed potatoes on a tray in my retirement home. we were drowning in a sea of fluoride and gasoline, tearing down the highway in a pair of cheap blue jeans, but I'm running out of steam. living in atomic space, our life was automated. oh god it was a wonderful place.
7.
riding on a bike to the library looking for a book to set myself free, but morning rain made the street all slippery I slid into a car and the tire came free. oh, free... flying in the weeds. see the ants go marching? on the cement where I bleed. as i lay there watching the bugs go by, I think of how alike they are to you and I. wouldn't it be nice to do something with our lives? So I scratched my neck in the fall and my head became infected. I lay in the hospital and my head transplant was rejected. what can I say of my life to date? I haven't done a damn thing and now its too late. what kind of world would this be if I could find meaning in you and me? oh... free... what a world this would be, if I could just find a little meaning.

Prairie 02:54
the prairie was breaking all around me lay the pieces on the operating table. I wanna feel the day light in the middle of the night I'm losing all I ever wanted I am a weak man trying to do whats right. I lay down, all of my defenses oh please drag a rake, across all my senses I wanna feel the day light in the middle of the night in a high rise, just like a space man I'm shaking 'cause I'm nervous, afraid of what I'm losing. the prairie, oh the prairie is an ocean, and my love is a stupid wave...

2061 03:03
we were sent to the sun in the year 2061 laid in a box by our daughters and our sons. beautiful and dark the mysteries we have sparked are gonna out run the devil to the sun. holding your hand in a coldness we don't understand I can see the stars start to expand. its hard to believe its our turn to leave. and though it seems, its an end to our dreams, I was the luckiest man alive I was the luckiest man alive I spent my life in love with my wife I spent my days in love with my life...
